The Hanushka coffee house, Hastings, UK
Otherwise known as the place I will go when I die.
Love how I was like ‘I know! I’ll put one of my book cases in my wardrobe and it will be a feat of space-saving design and organisation’
I think it’s safe to say that that was a lie I told to myself to facilitate my desperate need to have an entire book case devoted to poetry and folklore. I have a serious problem.
Just thought I’d photograph my beautiful, beautiful (half finished) quilt because I’m just about to sew the wadding and back to it and quilt it and it’s all going to go to shit I just know it

Terry Pratchett and his prize for winning a Wodehouse award at the Hay festival this year…yes, yes that is a Gloucestershire Old Spot
I seem to have accidentally acquired too many books again…oops

and I swear, if I see another ridiculously heavy book about ley-lines and psychic geometry I shall batter myself to death with a copy of ‘On the Origin of Species’.
It’s lyrical and colourful and full of warmth and beeswax. When I reached the last sentence I felt partly that I’d come home, and partly that I never wanted it to end (seriously though, read it, it’s gorgeous).
After receiving some life-changing news last week I’ve been trying my hardest to appreciate the little things in life and be thankful for the things that it’s so easy to take for granted.
